Krista began teaching Pilates in 2010 during the height of her Fitness Career. While working as a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and the Group Fitness Director of a Local Fitness Club, she began Classical Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor training at Powerflow Pilates Studio in New Haven. Since then, Krista has certifications with Balanced Body® and Power Pilates®.
Krista has been Certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine- NASM since 2002 and has many Fitness certifications and trainings including: Functional Movement Systems -FMS, Booty Barre, Spinning, AFAA, Titleist Golf Fitness Trainer- TPI, Les Mills, BTS/MOSSA, Reebok University, TRX Suspension Training and many others! Krista graduated from SCSU with a BS in Corporate Communications. After working in Health Insurance and as a Legal Assistant for a few years after college, Krista realized her love for fitness and motivating others to exercise. Leaving the desk job and pursing a full-time fitness career has been life changing. Having been teaching Fitness and training clients to build up their core for 18 years, Krista knows how to teach people to move and build strength to stay fit and healthy. Owning and operating a Pilates Studio requires dedication, devotion and loyalty to people who want to exercise. New Haven Pilates has been sharing the Pilates work with others since 2013!
Annette’s passion for Pilates led her to seek a career as a Pilates instructor. After retiring from a 30 year career in the disability insurance industry, Annette sought her certification in New York City at Grammercy Pilates NYC. She completed her 450 hr Comprehensive Certification program and followed that with courses in Neuro-Movement taught by Trent McEntire. Annette has a special interest in injury recovery and is extremely dedicated to her practice. She continues to train with Mary Bowen who is an original elder of Joseph Pilates.
A former dancer, Dana began her Pilates practice in 2010 as a way to manage and rehabilitate chronic injuries and osteoarthritis. She is a certified Classical Advanced Mat instructor through Power Pilates (2018), but also has experience with more contemporary styles, having completed the Fletcher Pilates Preparatory Course (2012). Dana strongly believes that Pilates is for every body, and knows firsthand the benefits it can have for individuals with injuries or other movement limitations. When she isn’t in the studio, Dana can be found in the library, working on her dissertation as a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Yale.
